BRIDGE THE GAP

Bridging the gap between social-normative idealism of sex work and the sex worker community. These projects aim to create public awareness around sex workers’ rights and challenge societal biases, stereotypes, and misconceptions surrounding sex work in efforts to reduce harm and violence targeted towards the sex worker community.

Red Light District by TW!O recognizes the nuanced position sex work holds in society. Bridge the Gap proposes to address violence and harm target toward this community through primary intervention advocacy for sex worker rights. These initiatives aim to minimize society's harmful ideals about sex/sex work by providing visibility to and a voice for the sex work/erotic labor community.

REMEMBRANCE TREE AND ROCK GARDEN

The Goal

The goal of the Remembrance Tree and Rock Garden is to enhance the visibility of sex workers and engage the local community by strategically occupying a physical space in the Atlanta area.

This tree and garden will memorialize individuals lost while working as sex workers. The purpose is to honor those who through marginalization have, in many ways, been thrown out by society.
